White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies

¼ cup butter/margerine
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 large egg
2 Tbs maple syrup
2 tsp vanilla
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
Pinch salt
¾ cup white chocolate chips
½ cup choppped macadamia nuts

Method

Preheat oven to 350 F.
In a large bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar until it resembles wet sand.
Add the egg, maple syrup and vanilla and beat until smooth.

Add the flour, baking soda, and salt to the butter-sugar mixture, and stir by hand until almost combined.
Add chocolate chips and nuts and stir until blended.

Drop tablespoons of dough on a cookie sheet (either sprayed with non-stick spray or use parchment paper).
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until just set around the edges, but should be soft in the middle.
Transfer to wire rack to cool.

Makes 20-24 cookies.
