Chocolate Chip Sticks

1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chocolate morsels

Preheat oven to 350F. Coat two baking sheets with cooking spray.
Combine oil, sugar and brown sugar in a bowl, mixing well/
Stir in egg and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt- tossing with a fork. Stir into egg mixture, blending well. Fold in chocolate morsels.
Form dough into 2 3-4inch wide logs. PLace on the prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 20-30 minutes (I did for about 18 minutes), checking after 20 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
Cool 10 minutes, cut slightly warm into sticks.
Yield: 2 dozen
