Bakery Cookies

Cookie:

1 1/2 sticks margarine (170g)
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
3 1/2 cups flour

Glaze:
6 ounces chocolate chips
2 Tbsp pure vegetable shortening
sprinkles

Cookies:
Preheat oven to 350F
In a large mixing bowl cream the margarine with the sugar.
Add the vanilla, eggs and salt.
Beat until smooth.
Slowly incorporate the flour, beating until dough forms.
Shape into thin flattened 3-4 inch logs.
Place on a greased baking sheet.
Bake 12-15minutes
Rmove from oven and let cool.

Glaze:
Place chocolate and shortening in a small bowl in the microwave.
Stir continuously.
Dip the very end of each log into glaze and then into sprinkles.
Allow to dry.
