Milk Tart

1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp butter
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
3 eggs
3 cups milk

Turn oven to 350F and grease 2 7 1/2inch pie plates
Cream Tbsp soft butter with 1/3 cup sugar and separate 3 eggs.
Add yolks 1 at a time to creamed mixture and then add tsp vanilla essence and beat together
Sift together: flour, baking powder, salt
Add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternatively with a cup of milk (start and end with dry ingredients)
Mixture must be smooth, then add 2 cups milk
Fold in stiffly beaten eggs whites and divide batter into plates.
Cook for 30-40 minutes
Brush top with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg and castor sugar
