Half Whole Wheat Challah

My ultimate challah Yield: 5 medium challahs Ingredients: 1 1/2 Tbsp salt 6-7 cups white flour 6-7 cups whole wheat flour 1 1/2 cups sugar 3 Tbsp yeast 3 cups room-temperature water, or more as needed 2/3-1 cup canola oil 1 egg, beaten Sesame seeds, to sprinkle on top Directions Grease bowl with oil Pour in 3 cups of white flour and 3 cups of whole wheat flour, add in salt, sugar, yeast Pour in water and oil and let sit for a few minutes Mix it all together Add 1 cup alternating of each flour until dough is sticky enough but not sticking to your hands. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and a dry towel and let it rise for 1 1/2-2 hours Shape on a sprayed cutting board Let rise again for 20 minutes, brush with egg and whatever else you want on top Bake 20-25 minutes on 180C until browned
