Challah Recipe

17 cups flour
3 packets traditional yeast
2 cups sugar
6 eggs
1 cup oil
3 tsp salt
4 1/2 cups very warm water

In a well- 1 cup sugar, yeast and 1 1/2 cups water (very warm)
Add eggs, oil, salt and 1 cup sugar and pour 3 cups water over
Knead and let rise for 2 hours
Punch down, shape and let rise for 2 hours
Brush with beaten egg
Bake at 350F for 20-40 minutes
