Instructions

Melt and mix: 3 Tablespoons margarine 3 Tablespoons syrup Dissolve and Add: 1 cup milk 3 teaspoons bicarb Add: 3 cups flour To make the syrup: Boil: 1/3 cup brown sugar 6 cups boiling water 1 Tablespoon Margarine 1 Tablespoon syrup Put spoonfuls of batter in. DO NOT MIX! Boil 1 hour low heat. I Sometimes put raisins or sultanas into the batter.
